Circulate water with Hayward pumps
The most used part of your home spa is the pump. The water pump is the element that circulates water so it does not become stagnant. Along with chemically treating the water, the pump is the most important device. Waterway pumps are used in hot and cold weather to circulate water that contains dirt and chemicals. It's no wonder these parts can become worn. Most Hayward pumps will last several years if cared for properly, but will likely need to be replaced just like other spa and Jacuzzi spa parts. If you have questions about replacing or installing a new pump, contact us. Otherwise, browse for the replacement Waterway filters or pump you need now!

Periodically water needs to be changed from your hot tub. Before draining the spa make sure it is turned off and the heat turned to the lowest setting. Next, open the access panel, locate the drain valve and remove its cap. Attach a garden hose to the valve, route it to a proper draining area and open the drain valve. Once drained, close the drain valve and replace the cap. Refill the tub with clean water and treat it. Once filled, turn on the Waterway pumps until there is a good flow of water and air is removed from the system. Turn the heater back to your personal level and the spa is ready for use!
Replace Waterway filters regularly
Keeping spa water at the right temperature and regularly treating with the correct hot tub chemicals is the first step to good spa care. A brand like Hayward pumps will ensure the water circulates correctly. Next, the Waterway filters need to be checked, cleaned and replaced on a regular basis to ensure the spa runs properly. The filter can be cleaned weekly or monthly by soaking in a degreaser and thoroughly power washing. Replace with a clean, dry filter. Each filter should be completely replaced when it no longer cleans up well.
