ABOUT THE FROG
|
|
| Q: |
Why
use SPA FROG Minerals in
your spa? |
| A: |
Minerals
help eliminate bacteria so less chlorine or bromine is needed to keep the
spa clean. Minerals actually condition the water for a softer feel and help
maintain a crystal clear look. They also help to neutralize pH. Simply supplement
with 1 - 2 ppm bromine or 0.5 - 1 ppm chlorine. Works great with ozonators,
too! |
|
|
| Q: |
How
long does SPA FROG last? |
| A: |
SPA FROG will stay active
for up to 4 months. After that time it will need to be replaced. Once
wetted, the minerals will not remain active for longer than four months.
Use the reminder dial on SPA FROG to help you
remember when to replace.

|
|
| Q: |
Can
I use SPA FROG alone or do
I need another form of chlorination? |
| A: |
SPA FROG is to be used
with a small amount of chlorine (0.5 - 1 ppm) or bromine
(1 - 2 ppm). SPA FROG also works with
ozonators.
|
|
|
| Q: |
Can
I use SPA FROG with potassium
monopersulfate only? |
| A: |
No. This can create
an unsafe spa as there is no EPA approved sanitizer residual in the spa.
A spa with SPA FROG should maintain
a 0.5 - 1 ppm of chlorine or 1 - 2 ppm bromine.
|
|
|
| Q: |
Do
I still need to shock my spa if I'm using SPA FROG? |
| A: |
Yes. Shock when
needed (if the water looks cloudy or before a party) or shock once per
week to keep it simple.
|
|
|
| Q: |
If
SPA FROG is too long
for my filter, can I still use it? |
| A: |
Yes. You have several
options. One is to cut the rod at the hash marks to shorten. You can also
use spa frog in the filter well / skimmer tray.
